Retirement Planning & Social Security from a Generation X Perspective

I’m in my mid 20’s, but I spend much of my time with people in their 50’s and 60’s. These clients are nearing retirement–the point in life where one would like to either cease working, or dedicate substantially less time to work-related activities. The challenge is sustaining an income stream which is sufficient to lead the same lifestyle established during prime working years. I have many answers as to how workers nearing retirement can supplement their savings or find insurance-related products which can mitigate the risk of outliving one’s assets. What I’d like to focus more on is why 90% of the questions I get related to retirement and creating long-term income streams stem from people in their 50’s and 60’s- just the demographic which should be well prepared for these nearing issues. Products and Services Offered to Clients

This page covers a list of services clients often contact us for. In most cases, we provide comprehensive financial planning centered around investment management. As a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) which is also affiliated with a broker/dealer, we are able to focus primarily on fee-based asset management but also offer insurance products which are often crucial to a well-rounded financial plan. This also allows us to be a one-stop firm which can handle most aspects of your financial life, ranging from investment management to taxes and estate planning.

Fee-based asset management:

our management fees range from 1 – 2% per year depending on the level of assets, trading frequency, and range of products used.

Fee-only financial planning:

We are able to analyze the totality of your financial life and produce a written recommendation about where you may be able to improve. The charge for this service is $500. In cases where we are retained to review a retirement plan, insurance contract, or other financial planning matter, our hourly fee is $175.

Part of most financial plans is making sure you properly insure against risk. We are able to provide income insurance products such as fixed and variable annuities and life insurance products including term, whole-life, and universal coverage.

Retirement Plans:

We can help you compare and implement the right retirement plan for you or your business, whether a simple IRA or Roth IRA, a defined contribution plan (401k, 403b), profit-sharing plan, defined-benefit plan or pretty much any other deferred compensation plan. Please contact us to discuss your individual needs.
